Izzy is Busy at Day Care1

Izzy is very busy at day care! Every day we get a full page report on all the things she did all day - she usually goes to the library with her friends, reads books with her teachers, and goes on stroller rides. Last week was the Week of the Young Child so they had special activities each day. One day the whole school had a variety show and the little babies were just wheeled across the stage in hats - so I made this one for Izzy's big debut. One day parents were invited to the school to view an art gallery of the children's work and make T-shirts. I made Izzy this shirt "with" her and I saw her art work. Each class made art in the theme of a different artist. The Tim Tams had Claude Monet. Yes, the children in her room are all under 1. I don't know what Claude Monet's feet looked like, but Izzy's foot prints were beautiful to me! (In case you're wondering - all the footprints/finger prints were done in the blues & greens Monet used in his water lilly series so I think that was the connection.)

Isabelle's First "Solid" Foods

Izzy tried her first foods this month. We started with cereal. Clearly both Mommy & Baby have not gotten the hang of using a spoon. She clearly does not know what to make of eating foods yet!

Next up was sweet potatoes. She's liking foods for the most part - I think the face here was more about why on earth mommy is trying to take pictures & feed me at the same time!

My little Irish lass...apparently Izzy thinks St Patrick's Day is the best holiday so far!

First Day of School!

Yesterday was Isabelle's first day at day care at the Campbell Family Center. Each room at the Family Center is named after one of our products so Isabelle is a TimTam which is a very popular Australian cookie. So I'm expecting any day now I'll pick her up and she'll say "G'day mommy!" The first (and second) day was hard but I'm sure it'll get easier. She seems to have very loving teachers so I'm thankful for that!

Also - these overalls used to be so huge on her!

The Shore March 2011

We've been trying to get in lots of long weekend trips before I head back to work later this week. Last weekend we headed to the Jersey shore. It was in the low 50s so we were able to go for walks around town and on the beach and it was nice to get away for a long weekend.

Williamstown Feb 2011

Izzy and I went home to Massachusetts at the end of February. We got snowed it at Nana's house while Nana was snowed in at the Philadelphia airport so I sat around taking lots of pictures of Izzy.

We also got to visit with lots of family & friends! Here is Izzy with Aunt Abby.

She hung out with Kamilia at Great Gram's house - and mom took too long to take the picture!

And she got to hang out with the other little cousins down in Dalton!
